Luke, Year 11

I chose UTC Warrington for the specialist engineering courses. I enjoy the studying of CAD/CAM and manufacturing. When I leave UTCW, I would like an apprenticeship related to engineering with one of the employer partners. So far, I have really enjoyed learning and getting coursework completed!

Stephen, Year 11

I chose to come to UTCW to get a fresh new start; previously I felt like I wasn’t learning much. Since joining the UTC, I have worked with employers throughout the year and on enrichment week too. I have developed my confidence and work skills with the help of employers. I aspire to be a game designer and so far I have been really proud to be a student ambassador, helping at open evenings, and being a leader around the college.

Beth, Year 11

UTC has inspired to me to aim high and try to work with a company such as NASA. I currently study Astronomy, Business Studies, and Art & Architecture, which is helping my education. UTC was a fresh start for me and I was delighted when a poem I wrote in English was published in a book

Lucy, Year 11

UTCW is centrally located and is easy for me to travel to. I find that the college helps me more than my previous school and has given me lots of opportunities. I have been a part of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) throughout Year 10 and I have been on a summer camp, as well as my weekly enrichment. This has helped develop leadership and teamwork skills, alongside forming new friendships. When I leave the UTC, I would like to either be a surgeon or work in the Royal Engineers Regiment.

Tyler, Year 11

I chose to come to UTC Warrington for a fresh start in a new and modern environment. My aspiration is to become a Chemical Engineer; therefore, I have chosen to study Engineering Manufacture and Computer Science, alongside my core GCSE science subjects. I am proud to be a member of the student leadership team where I have been on duty around the college and speaking to students about what they believe should be done around our UTC.

Joe, Year 11

The central philosophy at UTC Warrington is based around the L.O.R.I.C system – Leadership, Organisation, Resilience, Initiative, Communication. At UTCW, I have developed these qualities through enrichment and my role on the student council. I work effectively with pupils and teachers. I have been very proud of getting high pass rates in all my core subjects. I am passionate about Engineering and Astronomy and hope to go on to study at a Russell Group University.
