Earlier this week the UTC team, accompanied by our specialist equipment supplier and the building contractors ISG travelled down to WMG Academy for Young Engineers in Coventry – Coventry’s UTC.
The purpose of the visit was to take a look at the specialist equipment UTC students are getting the most out of, how their workshop was laid out and finding out all about life at WMG Academy.
WMG Academy for Young Engineers opened in September 2014 and was supported by many employer partners such as Jaguar Land Rover, National Grid and the University of Warwick. With many similarities between WMG Academy and UTC Warrington the visit really gave the team an insight into what life will be like once we open in September.
The team took lots of great pictures on the day, which provide a fantastic insight into some of the equipment UTC Warrington will have available for students from September.
We especially like the Jaguar F Type being used as an inspirational focal point in the main foyer.
UTC Warrington are investing £1,000,000 into specialist equipment ahead of opening in September.
Here are a few pictures from the visit, but why not check out the full collection on our Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/UTCWarrington.
