We are excited to be opening our doors to Year 9 students for the very first time! As this is a new entry point for UTC, the application process is a little different from other year groups. To begin, we ask all families to register their interest by completing a short form with some basic details. Once we receive this, we’ll invite you and your child in for a relaxed and informal chat, giving us the chance to get to know each other before you submit an application.
Students will not only be taught the full National Curriculum, ensuring they gain a strong foundation in core academic subjects, but they will also have the opportunity to explore and develop specialist skills within the UTC’s technical disciplines:
- Engineering and Manufacturing
- Civil Engineering
- Digital and Cyber Security
- Laboratory Science
These disciplines are designed to prepare students for future careers in industries that are in high demand and constantly evolving.
This combination of academic knowledge and technical expertise equips students with the skills, confidence, and experience they need to succeed in both higher education and the world of work.
