Our exciting curriculum is designed to provide students with a balance of academic and vocational qualifications with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) at the centre of learning.
We listen very carefully to our employer partners to seek out what knowledge and skills they require for their future workforce. Then we find and deliver the best academic, technical and professional qualifications that will put our students in prime position for the best careers within the Engineering, Science and Digital sectors.
In addition to our academic, technical and professional qualifications, we are passionate about developing the whole person. We use the PiXL Edge model to develop Leadership, Organisation, Resilience, Initiative and Communication. Students are rewarded at any opportunity they display these skills, using our points-based rewards programme. Our students can can see their latest achievement points and potentially secure an exciting reward each half term.
A unique and important element of the UTC Warrington student experience are Masterclasses and Technical Projects. Employer partners deliver Masterclasses on their specialisms using our state-of-the-art Lecture Theatre, as well as working alongside teachers to set students real life projects. Students work together in groups to identify, explore and evaluate possible solutions to a real-life engineering problem.
Working closely with employers, students then identify and develop their best solution for the technical project based on their findings. Technical projects are designed to deepen and enrich learning from across the curriculum whilst building crucial professional skills and characteristics.
