Class of 2020 – Teagan Feerick is progressing to study Civil Engineering at University of Exeter

Teagan Feerick, 18, has gained D* D* D* after completing a technical qualification in engineering and is going on to the University of Exeter to study civil engineering.

She said: “I felt pretty confident about my grades and am really pleased with my results. The UTC has prepared me well.

“It’s great for engineering and it has allowed me to gain experience in the industry and understand my career path. I am really looking forward to going to university.”

Parent Trustee/Governor Vacancy

UTC Warrington currently have a vacancy for a Parent Trustee/Governor. As a Single Academy Trust, the Department for Education requests that we appoint two parents of students attending the college as members of our Trust Board. Anyone who has a son or daughter on roll at UTCW at the time of the election is eligible to stand (and you do not have to resign if your child leaves during your term of office). We know that Year 11 pupils have been working hard to get the best grades they can in their GCSEs at school to secure a college place at the highest level possible. With school closing today, Friday 20th March, for an indefinite period, I wanted to update you on the arrangements and plans for the coming weeks.
