Students at Warrington’s University Technical College will benefit from a significant investment in specialist cyber security equipment, after the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) announced 13 projects will benefit from over £4million of investment.
UTC Warrington is working with other local Warrington schools and colleges to help support the fight against Covid-19 (Coronavirus).
We know that Year 11 pupils have been working hard to get the best grades they can in their GCSEs at school to secure a college place at the highest level possible. The process of how those grades will be awarded is yet to be fully configured, however, we would like to reassure you that we will be looking beyond the awarded grades.

With school closing today, Friday 20th March, for an indefinite period, I wanted to update you on the arrangements and plans for the coming weeks. I have been meeting with our staff team all this week to devise a clear way forward in these difficult times. As I am sure you will appreciate, these plans may change depending on the length of the school closure.

Today, Friday 20th March, is our last day for a period of indefinite closure. The recent weeks, but particularly the last few days, have been challenging. Yet they have demonstrated an excellent spirit of teamwork, both in the student and staff team. As I am sure you aware, the UTC will remain open in a limited capacity from Monday 23rd March for the children of “key workers”.

As I am sure you are aware, the Prime Minister has made a significant update regarding the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the impact on schools.
